Although the focus of these events may be on putting a party in the park, Shae Neal, a patient navigator who works with low-income patients, said she’s concerned that people who need help aren’t aware that there are services available. She wants to see Tarrant County do more to make health care services more accessible.

New York City Department of Health

If you live in New York City, you can get screened for STDs at clinics, urgent care centers, or doctors’ offices. Some centers also offer walk-in testing, but you should make an appointment ahead of time to avoid long waits.

There are many different sexually transmitted diseases, including gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis. These infections are primarily asymptomatic, but they can be serious if left untreated.

Syphilis, one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases, causes genital ulcers that are painless or can lead to rashes and other health complications. It is treated with antibiotics.

Planned Parenthood
